Registration Now Open for Fall Semester Art Classes!
(Please note that registration for the Fall Semester will close September 19th at midnight. Registration will open again mid-December for the Winter/Spring Semester.)
All fall classes will be held at the Soaring Learner’s Building (1461 E. 3rd Ave., Post Falls).
Fall classes begin September 8th and end December 19th.
Classes run weekly with the week of Thanksgiving off.
Classes are subject to change based on enrollment.
The Fall Art Show will be December 5th! More info to come!
MONDAYS:
EXPLORING ART 1 (Limit 6 students – 4/6 spots open)
3PM – 4PM
Ages 9-11 ($15/class) – All supplies provided. ***Invoiced monthly.
This class is for students who are interested in art but have never really learned basic art skills, techniques, styles and foundation principles. We will explore all of these areas of art through a variety of mediums.This semester class starts Monday, September 14th and ends December 14th.
EXPLORING ART 2 (Limit 6 students – 5/6 spots open)
4:30pm – 5:30pm
Ages 10-12 ($15/class) – All supplies provided. ***Invoiced monthly.
This class is for students who want to grow their art skills as well as learn a little art history as we study a few famous artists. Students will be exploring a variety of mediums as they grow skills and become more confident in their art. This semester class starts Monday, September 14th and ends December 14th.
TUESDAYS:
FULL! You can register for this class and be placed on a waiting list to be notified when a spot/class opens.
FUN WITH ART (Limit 6 students – 0/6 spots open)
3PM – 4PM
Ages 6-8 ($15/class) – All supplies provided. ***Invoiced monthly.
This class will introduce younger students to a variety of art mediums and styles as they learn the basic foundation principles of art. This semester class starts Tuesday, September 8th and ends December 15th.
COLOR THEORY (Limit 6 students – 5/6 spots open)
4:30PM – 5:30PM
Ages 10-13 ($15/class) – All supplies provided. ***Invoiced monthly.
This class is for students who love working with color. We will start at the beginning learning about color and build each week learning more advanced color theories as we progress through the semester. We will be using a variety of mediums. This semester class starts Tuesday, September 8th and ends December 15th.
FRIDAYS:
EXPLORING ART 3 (Limit 6 students – 6/6 spots open)
4:00pm – 5:00pm
Ages 13 & Up ($15/class) – All supplies provided. ***Invoiced monthly.
This class is for older students who want to grow their art skills as well as learn a little art history as we study a few famous artists. Students will be exploring a variety of mediums as they grow skills and become more confident in their art. This semester class starts Friday, September 11th and ends December 18th.
DRAWING & PAINTING (Limit 6 students – 5/6 spots open)
5:30pm – 6:30pm
Ages 13 & Up ($15/class) – All supplies provided. ***Invoiced monthly.
This class is for older students who want to grow drawing and/or painting skills. Drawing skills are important to build before painting. So for the first half of the semester we will work on drawing skills using some different drawing mediums. The second half of the semester we will work on acrylic painting skills.
SATURDAYS:
OPEN STUDIO (Limit 8 students – 8/8 spots open)
9:30AM – 11:00AM
Ages 13 and up ($20/class) – Choose the number of classes per month to fit your schedule. Supplies are provided though students are welcome to bring their own if desired. ***Invoiced monthly.
This class is for students who are creative and want to work on their own projects or try something new. Students should have a good understanding of art and want lots of flexibility to create their own art. Miss Amy is available to assist and/or instruct as needed. For example, if a student wants to work on their acrylic painting skills, Miss Amy can guide them through the process as needed. Supplies included are drawing paper; watercolor paper; canvas panels; watercolor paints (pans and tubes); acrylic paint and acrylic markers; paint brushes; graphite pencils; charcoal; colored pencils (higher quality); soft pastels; oil pastels; and some sculpture materials such as wire; air dry clay; and plaster wrap. This semester class starts Saturday, September 12th and ends December 19th.

***If you homeschool in Idaho and still have funds in Empower Parents, you can use your funds to pay for classes as “Be Artfully You” is a vendor. This program has ended but you can still use funds through the following dates:
Grants issued in 2023 expire in 2026.
Grants issued in 2024 expire in 2027.
Grants issued in 2025 expire in 2028.
***Be Artfully You has been approved to be a vendor with the Idaho Home Learning Academy (IHLA) program marketplace. If you participate in this program, funds can be used toward art classes.
CLASS DISCOUNTS:
All Art Classes: Family and/or Sibling discount is $5 off per class.
All Art Classes: Multiple class discount is $5 off any additional class.
